CLIC Visiting Areas

Several visiting areas are (sometimes) available:

  • CLIC Showroom (2008/R-001)
    • Posters with details about CLIC
    • Some accelerator and detector components, with labels
    • CTF2 module for the first-ever two-beam-acceleration test @30GHz
    • Meeting Room (2008/R-002) next to CLIC Showroom sometimes available
  • CLEAR (CLEX) (2010/R-400)
    • Currently a test facility for accelerator components and techniques R&D
    • Area where two-beam-acceleration tests continued with CTF3 @12GHz
  • XBOX3 (150/R-002)
    • Tests of 12 GHz RF components
    • Tests of novel X-band klystron/modulators
  • CLIC Module (18/S-011)
    • Mechanical tests of several CLIC Two-Beam modules
  • DL/CR Area (2003/R-401)
    • Ex area for Drive Beam recombination in CTF3
    • Not yet usable for visits…

Availability Calendar:

One can subscribe to it via:

  • calendar.ics
  • Note: with such a subscription you are only allowed to READ the calendar. You might want to try adding an event, but it normally doesn’t send the event to the server -> i.e. the event is not saved.

Editing access granted to e-group:

  • CLIC-visitbooking@cern.ch
  • Note: it only works via Outlook interface and you need to add the calendar as “Calendar from your organization” to have editing rights sorted correctly…
